Eleven-year-old Emma is a model student who spends most of her free time swimming for her mother's sake. Her classmate Mickey, on the other hand, is not nearly as ambitious and therefore has nothing but ridicule for Emma. The blame lies with a magic spell that her classmate “Four-Eyes” revealed to her. He discovered it in a mysterious book he found in the forest.
