Five women and five men are lured to a supposed luxury hotel on a remote tropical island off the coast of French Guyana. They soon realize that they are the only people in this secluded place in the middle of the sea. Then an accusing voice announces over the loudspeaker that no one will survive this nightmare. Everyone present has been guilty in the past...
Apart from the hired cook Myriam and the caretaker Eddy as the only staff, the group is a motley crew: On site is the strong-willed doctor Victoria, the ex-soldier Xavier, who has been washed in all waters, the enigmatic Eve, the sensitive Gilles, the young botanist Nina, the seemingly naive It-girl Kelly, New Age guru Vincent and the young Malik, who works for an NGO.
Soon contact with the outside world is cut off: The WLAN fails and Vincent's helicopter is sabotaged. The guests realize that they are by no means alone, but in grave danger. Especially as they find ten little dolls... impaled.
The French thriller series is based on Agatha Christie's classic crime novel “And Then There Were None” from 1939, staged and superbly modernized by “Martyrs” director Pascal Laugier.
Ten people are lured to Devil's Island. The supposed luxury hotel quickly turns out to be a nightmare when a distorted voice over the loudspeakers explains that everyone has to pay for a crime.
